I'm hoping that a lot of people on this forum fall into the category of innovators, entrepreneurs or just motivated people with great ideas.

I'm doing a bit of research to see what sort of information products you might buy, if at all, to help you with your ideas, from basic help with brainstorming, understanding your market, refining your idea, getting funding etc.

I've put together a very quick survey on survey monkey which will take less than 1 minute and I'd really appreciate any time you can spare. You also get a free report at the end on how to go about doing your own survey, if you are thinking about doing your own market research as part of a new product development.

There's no catch, honestly:), I just need a bit of feedback from people.

Here's the link

If you've got any feedback in general on whether you'd buy an info product online, and what you might buy, let me know via a post here.

Thanks

Yvette

Hi Yvette,

I think you need to allow 'None of the above' options in your answers. The survey in its current form assumes the respondent is willing to pay for an information product, and that's not always going to be the case. I, for example, rarely pay for them simply because there is plenty of free info available online. If I do purchase an information product it's because I respect its author, or it's been recommended to me by someone I trust. Your survey makes no allowance for such views.

You also seem to demand an email address from your respondents - you would get a better response if you allowed people to remain anonymous.

Hi Emily

Thanks for your feedback and taking time to look at the survey.

The survey was originally devised for our subscribers to our newsletter and I was really hoping to strengthen our results. In my haste to try and get some more responses I didn't think about the sticking points that may stop a newbie filling it in. The email assumes a level of trust that won't be there if someone comes straight from a forum. Its only there to verify respondants, its not a mail collector as we haven't asked permission. Unfortunately I can't change the survey now as it will skew the responses that we've already got.

So if you aren't happy filling out the survey, I've put a very quick summary below and I would really appreciate any responses on it.

Would you buy an information product on any of the following:
How to get customers coming to you in droves
How to get funding without selling your soul!
Painless market research to find out what's hot
How to grab a legal market monopoly by patenting your ideas
Getting my killer business idea to the market
How to get my ideas through the corporate machine
Is my business idea compelling?
Proving the value of your innovation
How to brainstorm the next market winner
The Business Ideas Creator: Think up the perfect business for you
Get inside the customer's head: figure out exactly what customers want and the exact sales pitch they want to hear
Using innovation to get ahead in the corporate world
Recession proof your business by priming the innovation engine

what sort of format would you like to buy it in - eg. ebook, hardcopy, online videos etc
what sort of money you would be willing to pay
whether you think I'm barking up the wrong tree entirely!
Thanks
Yvette
