Visability in House & Home magazines

I regularly get the house and homes magazines and in these you see items of furniture and accesories in features and articles following a story with the price and a site where you can buy it. They are not in the main photo shoots in peoples houses but they are often in the "how to get this look" feature that follows it.

We very often sell the very same item (and normally at a lower price) so my question is - how do I get my sites details in it as the place to buy it from?

I thought I'd post it up here before I try to contact the magazines themselves to see if anyone has any insight or tricks of the trade to get seen in these publications.

Write a Press Release, pitch your company to the magazine etc.
Another idea is to promote to contact blog owners...there are some VERY prominent home/interior blogs {ie decor8} that could get you some well deserved hits and sales!
