Hi all
I've just had my website very slightly modified to include new drop down menus & a new services page.
I would appreciate your views on ease of use and whether it's easier to navigate the services now.

looks nice, you need to do a bit of work on the image http://www.freelanceofficeservices.co.uk/images/about.png though, it is quite large and doesn't look too good....

psd is photoshop format
if you don't have that I would suggest maybe finding a better quality, lower sized image to replace it with.
Not sure if http://www.retouchuk.com/ could do anything with it (they are members here too)

Hi Anne,
Website looks good, navigation is nice and clear and visually the colours work well together.
I have to agree with vshosting about the about.png image. It is much too big in file size and too pixelated - isn't awful but I would suggest changing it as it doesn't reflect image very well.
I know of a few places where you are able to buy low cost royalty free stock images from around £0.60 each - drop me a mail if you would like the website addresses.

much better :-)
There is a slight problem in your testimonials section with nesting you might want to look at though.

Might just be a firefox problem.
It's just after matrix hosting, the other logo's are indented

Oh I see, yes I know, I tried to keep them all the same, but distorted.

I don't like Firefox, it messed up my operating system and makes everything appear smaller. But I'll take your word for it

I am getting between 8 and 26% visitors using firefox on my sites, so it is definately worth making your site FF friendly.

Anne,
You could do with editing the text. While the errors are not glaring, they do undermine the professional image you are trying to create. For example,
"Our young and diverse Business Services company was launched officially by Anne Donnelly in 2005, who has over 20 years experience within the Corporate Environment. Anne has put together a bespoke Virtual Assistance & On Site Services program which adapts to the needs of our customers, both inside & outside of the UK."
I suggest the following changes:
"Our young and diverse business services company was launched in 2005 by Anne Donnelly, who has over 20 years' experience within the corporate environment. Anne has put together a bespoke program that offers virtual assistance and on-site services to customers in the UK and beyond."
In addition, you might want to consider the following points:
- Customers will care more about your services and less about you as a person. You might want to de-emphasize the personal information. You can still highlight the experience of "company principals".
- Personally, I dislike the term bespoke. Admittedly, I haven't lived in England for nearly 20 years, but is this term widely understood and applicable for your industry?
- By stating that you started your company in 2005, you are admitting that you have little experience as a company (despite your experience as an individual). This might put some people off.
I hope these comments help.

thanks everyone, I haven't actually changed the wording, just the pictures and the services page/menus....
I've changed a couple of banners on the home page too.

OK, we've changed the customer links page now and it should display in Firefox - would appreciate anyone trying for me.

Will take all other points on board - many thanks to Jamie at Matrixx Hosting for doing this work so well & so quickly for me.
