GETTING BACK INTO NETWORKING AND BUSINESS

Hi,

Its been a while since I have posted in this forum, but after taking time out to have my first baby (born in April a beautiful girl) I am getting back into networking again - although balancing my business with being a mum is not easy - any advice!!!!

I look forward to chatting and exchanging advice, experiences etc. with you all and if anyone needs secretarial / PA / admin work done then please let me know.

I am also looking at the idea of a networking creche - does anyone have any views on this - even you guys may need to network and look after the kids!!

Hi Julie

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter and well done for trying to work from home while looking after her.

My son was 7 months old when I started my business (similar to yours) and I had to work when he slept. Until earlier this year I continued to work when he had a nap, in the evenings and at the weekends.

Earlier this year we invested in a laptop and a wireless internet connection and that means I can work in the lounge and spend time with my son. When he needs me I stop working and when he's happy to play without me, I'm able to get on - however my son is now coming up to 2 and a half and that probably wouldn't work so well for you yet.
