Hi Callum,
I have reviewed http://www.kashflow.co.uk/ recently and am happy enough with it to be starting a 3 month trial.

I looked at Kashflow as well and the only thing that stopped me using it was that it only works in £'s and not €'s :(

yes - it's ideal for hosting - it's one of the few I've liked with re-occurring billing.

We switched to Barclays Business Manager about six months ago now, and I have to say I am very impressed with it. I pay £24 a month and for that I get QuickBooks plus Paulo Alto Business Planning and Marketing Planning software along with BeProfessional HR software and free updates for all of them. (I don't think you have to be a Barclays customer to use it, but if you are, you can link with your online banking and carry out automatic bank reconciliations.)
In the past I've used both Sage and MYOB but I have to say I'm finding Business Manager to be easier to use than either of them.

Hi Julie,
That looks interesting, I may look into this in the morning. I'm also going to invest in your book.
Rob, did you ever get an answer from the Kashflow guys with regards to multiple companies?

Hi Barry
The software is definitely worth a look.
I'm really pleased to hear that you might like to buy a copy of our book. (I still get a kick when someone says that :D ) And if you do, make sure you take advantage of my offer to UKBF members (in the 'UKBF Offers' forum).

You can find details about Dosh Accounts at http://www.dosh.co.uk/website/about.php
This is the simplest accounting system I have found. You do not require any knowledge of accounts to use it.

Have a look at EasyMoneyPlanner, it's not a full accounts package but it's very useful for planning your finances ahead. I use it for my domestic financial planning and my self-employed planning. The plus point is that's it's really simple and cheap.

We switched over to MS Accounts at the beginning of our year and we're very impressed.

I think the OP may well have found something in the last three and a half years!
