Potential Business Partner

Hi, hello everyone. Just joined the forum and currently looking for a small business to buy in Newcastle, possibly with a business partner. Was wondering if anyone is aware of any organisation in the north east which advertises for people wanting business partners? Have tried commercial estate agents, business press etc., to no avail! Any help greatly appreciated.

what is the buiness and what type of investment do you require cash or knowledge?

Cash and preferably some experience! Ideally, partnership would be on an equal basis with all costs and responsibilities shared and both parties working within the business.

Looking to buy an existing profitable business rather than set one up, probably catering, newsagents or convenience store.

when you say experience you mean experience relating to the specific business type or general business experience liek say management and accoutning experince. For example the co would be split between a finance director and a managing director.

One concentrates on the day to day running the other on the finances/strategic development ...... usually works better that way

i know you siad partnership and i used the word director ........ before all the mickey mouse accountants come on and say you cant have a director in a partnership ........

Thanks for your reply and advice. I have run a small retail business in the past (within a wider role in previous employment) and was responsible for all aspects from day to day running to management accounts, VAT et al. Ultimately, I could operate as a sole trader but would prefer to share financial and operational responsibilities with another person who has some general business experience.
