hi peter,
You might want to update your 'claims' in the seo department.
I checked Freelance Copywriting on Ideaswise.com and it was listed around 300+ not number 1.
I tried both google.co.uk and google.com
Not saying you're not doing a good job, but if I was looking for someone to do your work I would check these results which would, obviously, put me off.

Hi Point and Stare,
Not sure where you've been looking. Just checked it again on Google - for freelance copywriting my site is still number one.

I checked: freelance copywriting is #1, (but only #1 organic..:))
Also #1 for freelance copyrighting, a slightly different field...
If a copywriter makes a copy of the right copy, will the copywriter have the copyright?

Thanks Dawg. Spookily, your post is already number five on Google for freelance copyrighting.
Anyway, if anyone wants any freelance copywriting (but not copyrighting), please get in touch.

.co.uk it's now number 1 but .com it's way down the list (but as you're UK based I wouldn't worry about it though).

As it happens, where I search from, that first result shows as .com. And it's not 'now number 1' as you put it - it's been there for many months. You simply got it wrong in your first post.

Given that you implied I was making false claims about my Google results, and that the only false claims were those made by you, I think an apology might have been a more suitable response.

err .. so, I made a search based on your claims, the results are different and I have to apologise?
Good luck mate, have fun and learn to not take life too serious.

.... learn to not take life too serious.
To PaS, as it was you who went out of your way to try and catch out the OP and failed, i'd say you were the one taking life too seriously. The OP was simply saying hello and saying what he does.
To the OP , well done there!

ok. proof when it's needed:

As I said, I searched, the results didn't match the claims ...

I notice your results show 1-2 of 2,560,000 yet my search results show 1-10 of 454,000.
But anyway, my comment wasn't that I disbelieved you, no reason not to, but it was that you were advising they learn to not take life seriously when in fact that seems to be what you were doing. Just seemed an odd statement to advise them on, that's all.

Exactly my point - what you see are different to what others see (in regards to SEs) so you need to check these things constantly.
Listen - I wasn't putting the OP down, just letting him know that what he is claiming is different to what I am seeing.
Also, as I mentioned, on .co.uk there were no results. When I visited later he was number 1. These things change constantly and we just need to be aware of this especially when it's a selling point.

My my, PointandStare, anyone would think you were taking yourself too seriously ;)
I don't know what version of Google you're looking at, but I invite anyone else to go to Google and search for freelance copywriting - either under the 'web' or the 'pages from the UK' results. My site is number one, where it has been for many months. While you're at it, you could search for freelance copywriter as well - it currently varies between number two and three.
Come on Point and Stare, you were clearly trying to put me down. Nothing to do with the fact that we're both from North London and partly fishing in the same waters I suppose? ;)
I made no claims in my post about Google results - you went to my site, found them on an inside page, did some searches and tried to catch me out. You were wrong. A simple apology would have sufficed.

its true you seem to have seen something that, to be fair, is a point to note that other people might also see this result, think its way off, and leave the site.
However, that could actually happen to anyone in that case, not just the OP.
Its a glitch of sorts, but luckily we dont seem to have experienced what you have, so it could be something to do with your settings, cached pages, god knows what else. Now had several of us got the same result, the OP might be worried but as sometimes does hapen (heck, ive been on Google page 1 and No.1 for a an hour for a couple of great words) but ive realised it was just a glitch and when I double checked on another browser or an hour later, or clearedf my cache, I found my results were back to normal and I was back on page 2. So it can work both ways when incorrect results are displayed.
If you think you have spotted something, always double and triple check your findings before declaring them is the safest option.
