Is it seen by google to be a good thing or a bad thing to do that thing where you include a long list of either postcode or town/area names on a website.
i.e; "towns we cover; birmingham, wolverhampton, solihull etc etc"
Does it help with SEO? or does google just ignore it? Is it seen as keyword stuffing?

Not a good thing to do as it is not very user friendly and is being done to game the search engines - a short list is fine, but listing every county is not.

It works....
Reason:
Your content is actually informing the user that you cover there area and its useful to the end user.
Providing you dont over do it with repeating the words you will be fine:)

---DROPDOWN----
Put it down in the footer:D
