[Dark Star]

Hi All,
I am a designer and maker of interior soft furnishings and have been doing so for 30 plus years. My work is all one offs and hand made by yours truly. Is there a place here where I can post piccies of same ? I live in Suffolk and have quite afew hobbies too numerous to mention here. (I don't want to bore you)Maybe there is a thread someone on this subject, I shall seek it out and add to it eventually !!! I am known to be a little crazy but then who isn't?.

Am I right in thinking there is a film with that name? Starring Bruce Dern? I loved it. Particularly Huey, Duey and Louie. (If you haven't seen it , you'll think me a little strange!)

I think you have got your films mixed up!!!

There is a film called Dark Star that was directed by John Carpenter and was about a ship that goes around blowing up planets!!

The film with the robots that you are thinking about was called Silent Running- a spaceship ( The Valley Forge) with a giant greenhouse containing all the flora from earth.


Now how sad is that???

You're absolutely right, Alan. Thanks for clearing that up for me -- I knew I'd seen a film called Dark Star, but obviously they're all mixed up together in my fertile imagination.

I'm off now to do some silent running of my own.... <wry grin>

I am currently taking the tablets and chilling out listening to Virgin Classic Rock - Bruce Dickinson is blasting out at the moment - run for the hills :D

Glad I could clear that up. I loved Silent Running, should really get it on DVD(If its available)

Any other sci fi films you want to know about just ask and I might know the answer (Especially as not many questions on finance and accounting get asked on here) :)
