Hi all am hoping you can give me some advice here. Am in a 50/50 Ltd business with my ex hubby. At court recently it was agreed financially that he couldn't touch my pension, home or other finances - nor could I touch his. I work as a Head of Service in local government, he is employed as the manager of the business. I get few dividends he gets most which makes up his salary for doing nothing. He is lazy, refuses to respond to emergencies, - preferring to go to the pub to watch football and is basically creaming the business off. Staff dislike him and the company accountant is his friend whom he plays golf with. He is not strategic at all and the business has had no investment over the last 10 years.

This business was my families business and he came into a fantastic lifestyle by marrying me.

After yet another explosion last week I have informed him I want to be out of the business. As we are 50% shareholders how can I do this ? Agreement is that should I sell my shares he has first offer. If he refuses, bar putting them on the open market is there anything else at all I can do e.g. dissolve the business etc? We own the land and property?

Thanks

Madds
