Hello, My name is Stuart Harrison, and I announce my first business, www.yousaint.com
The website allows you or one of your friends to become a saint of the church of reformed unimentalists.
I believe the personalised nature, amount of stuff you recieve in the pack and prestige of this gift make it a really memorable and exciting product.
I have really enjoyed working on this business, and it has made me feel like an entrepreneur. I love looking for ways to overcome or bypass the problems that arise.
I would recommend starting a small business to anybody, even just as a hobby, because I have had so much fun and learned so many things.
I would appreciate constructive comments about the website.

Hi Stuart
I have just viewed your web site and to be brutally frank, open and honest with you, it’s a mess. I am no web designer or IT professional but I think its is flat, boring, lacklustre and so uninspiring.
My I suggest you spend some time surfing around other site to get some inspiration and ideas on building a good, informative website, one that encourages the viewer to want to stay with you, who wants to explore the concepts and context of your site. Or alternatively get a professional web designer involved, they aren’t as expensive as you may think and well worth the investment.
Sorry I couldn’t be more positive.
.
Best of luck
Kemble3

Welcome to the forums.
I'd like to see your website centred in the browser.

Hi Stuart, Welcome to the forums.
I think with a bit of 'spit and polish' on your website you 'may' have the makings of a small business but you'd need to get the right copy and marketing slant on the site.
But at the moment the look and feel is all a bit wierd for me :)
I think it needs making more professional and fun!

OK - I am going to take a huge step back from what I think about the premise of this venture and focus on one simple question I have behind it...
...what does your church stand for?
If I am going to be a Saint I want to know what the meaning behind it is.
Do you believe in a higher power? Is the Church a denomination of any other existing religion? What are the main principles of the church's teaching?
These aren't meant as philosophical questions (although I would love to hear the answers) but as things a visitor to your website might wonder.
Another point... as far as I know, the concept of 'Saint' only exists in the Catholic faith. You might want a little disclaimer that your site and business are NOT endorsed by the Pope or you might end up in a legal battle with the Vatican.
Not a pretty thought.

Hey there.
Good luck with the site...not sure about the product...some might find it slightly offensive! LOL :-)

You'd have to check the legality of this; I found a really funny letter from the Home Office in a second hand laptop I bought a few years back, explaining to someone exactly how many laws they'd broken with their new religion, and the practices involved (I won't go in to detail :P).
Other than that, a very clever and humerous idea! (Out of interest, is anyone here a Scottish Laird? I got an advert for that.)
