Ebay search - What happened??

Have recently posted an item on ebay as a tester. Because I entitled the auction "ocean", and it is for a bracelet, ebay will not find it when I search for "bracelet" but hey presto, search for "ocean" and I'm your man!!! :roll:
However, this is not going to sell many bracelets!!! Does anyone know how Ican resolve this?? My previous post might clarify matters :lol:

Exactly right Eagle, but I dont think you can edit the title after the auction has started so paulho will have to let this one go and then start another auction.
I would suggest reading the ebay help files on how to get a better sale as they are very helpful. Things like correct punctuation in the title such as "Ocean Bracelet N/R" might help in the title (assuming you have no reserve.

I would recommend starting the auction at your cost price or just above with no reserve, as no reserve auctions tend to get more bids, and at least if it only goes for one bid you're not losing money.

I've made some good money selling old tat on ebay that I was just going to throw away! An old BT phone system I was going to sell for £50-£60 went for £576 for example!

If there are no bids I believe that you can change the title. Go to My eBay and change it by clicking on the item, it says revise item description.

I'm pretty sure this is right. If you can't edit the title, though, and there are no bids, just pull the auction and start a new one with the correct title :)

So the search uses key word in the title then, yes? :roll:

Searches can be tailored to pretty much anything but, by default, they scan the title first and foremost. :)
