Interested to hear people thoughts on the subject. We’ve always stapled companies business cards to an enquiry sheet and never bothered using any IT based system to collect data. Old fashioned?

waste of time using scanners, the end result is a spreadsheet of names not detailing the time detail on the business or any visual on the company you spoke too. A card says alot. We us an a5 lead sheet with tick boxes and bits to circle and at quiet times write out a sheet for every card based on the 20sec - 30 min chat.
scanning barcodes is what we as a company do all the time, s we sell retail systems - but the use of cs1504 scanners (keyfob style) is a complete waste of effort as it tells you nout.
