Thanks first for taking the time to read this post as I feel very seriously about this topic!

New business start-ups, the information just doesn't seem overly relevant to me. I've written 3 business plans to a gold standard and took months of my own time for the research to find all the professionals who say they can help just didn't know. Worse there are alot of scamster business start-ups about now with staff multipliers e.t.c well call them pyramid schemes with products.

For the general person who just wants to do something on there own its a real mine field and its getting worse. I'm looking to start my own website, with tonnes of free information and interviews with people who are doing the business and succeeding.

So what would you say are the current best UK websites for business start-ups? Were are they going wrong? What would you have found most useful when you were setting yourselves up in business?

All comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you again for taking time to read this post.

Oh and would you like to take part in some interviews at a later date, Email me your phone number and some details about your business. Would you like to help

Hi There & Welcome,

I maybe be able to help you with someone who could create your website for you. www.breamteam.com are professional website designers who can basically do anything that suits your requirments. They have helped me greatly establish my business since December 2004 and i have my own eccomerce shop which didnt cost me thousands of pounds like some other webdesigners charge.

If you want a nice site to start your business with i would take a look at www.breamteam.com and drop them a line.

Regards,

Callum

Hi,

I think this forums good for start ups becuase you can talk to real ppl and get real advice, but also statups.co.uk is quite good although their forum is rubbish and disorganised.

Theres lots of different portals and stuff but if you could bring it all together then that would be good.

Other than that businesslink.gov.uk is a very iseful source of info.

Good luck with.

Hello Laugar,
What you mention I am aware someone else is also currently doing some research on pulling together.

You are write that there are a lot of people looking to rip new businesses off before they even get off the ground, and that is just plain wicked when a new business startup needs all its money to get started!

Good luck in your project and feel free to join in on these forums for your research and help.

Agree with the above - businesslink is a great start, they really seem to want to actively help, and it doesnt cost a great deal - the best site I have come across is this one, lots of info, advice and encouragement free of charge!

Best of luck anyway, Rob.
