Hello,
I am looking to advertise on a website based at teenagers to young adults. Does anyone know of or own a website that offers advertising in these categories?

Thank you very much.

Samuel Frost.

thestudentroom.co.uk is one of the UK's biggest sites for that market. If you need high volume and for it to be & a highly targeted audience they're a good bet.

Might be worth considering Facebook. Most of its users will be between the ages of 13-35. Sure, there are a few in the younger/older bracket, but not that many. They've got a PPC thing, but it's had fairly mixed reviews. Worth considering though.

Also check out sites for backpackers, gap-year travellers etc.

There are lots about.

Good luck :)

I've heard some very savvy PPC people describe Facebook as a "gold rush" at the moment, much like Adsense was when it first came on the scene. It seems everyone is using Adsense now which pushes prices up, but in the early days you could get clicks for nothing on valuable keywords...seems FB is kind of like that. Get in early while the goings good, is what I'm hearing.

Hi Samuel - you may be best off doing this through choosiing placements on AdWords.

Kind regards

Correct me if I'm wrong but Adwords doesn't offer segmentation by audience age, so it's probably not the best idea for this.

Microsoft's AdCenter does allow this kind of audience segmentation but it doesn't provide the same volume of traffic as AdWords (as Live is so much smaller than Google). If you want to start small in PPC that doesn't need to be a problem though.

Hi - well, you are right, and wrong at the same time ;) With placements, I can choose a category that will be populated by young people - games for example, then the subset video games and son on. It lets you know the volumes of visitors etc.

MSN system is good, but as you state - the volume aint great

Yeah, I guess with some savvy placement in the content network you can target that kind of audience much better. Then you've got the issue of wading through the sites which aren't helping to find the gems that really convert, but nothing a good PPC manager can't handle ;)
