I am doing some research and was wondering if anyone could give me some answers to the rather broad question how much do business coaches earn?

I know that this will widely differ but if we could generalize and say for example focus on an sme coach, trained at the coaching academy.

Any ideas how much they earn overall, charge per hour, how many clients they work with?

Thanks!

Josi

In the past I worked with two business coaches who were earning about £2k+ per day, then again the economy was better than current.

Seen business coaches working for £200 a day, have known others charging £5,000+

It varies massively as you say and also depends on how much of a pure theoretical coach you are or how close to a business consultant you get. Your overheads grow in terms of PI insurance etc if you get more hands on etc.

Yup they do!

Business Coach seems to me is one of these scamming, "nothing" jobs, like a life coach, personal stylist etc... they only cater for people with too much money.

Must say I did bring up that point - friend, beer, meal etc - in a coaching meeting once! Thanks for all the replies!

I would suggest it depends on what the person being coached is getting out of it. If you can coach them to increase profits by £100k pa then a decent fee seems appropriate.
If you are just going to stroke their ego then you shoulkd be at the bottom and of any fee.
