[Ossett town AFC]

Hi All

Ossett Town AFC are holding a FREE networking event / Pre-launch evening to celebrate our donation of sposnorship to Wakefield based cancer charity Wakefield Hospice.

For the 2009/10 to 2011/12 seasons Ossett Town have generously donated it's Main Shirt Sposnorship (both Home and Away) to the charity to assist in raising the profile of the charity in what is it's 20th Anniversary year 2010.

The event will be held at Ossett Town Clubhouse, Ingfield Stadium, Ossett, WF5 9HA and starts at 19.00 (7pm) on Wednesday 15th April 2009.

So far over 400 companies from across Leeds, Wakefield and Huddersfield postcodes have been invited so we are expecting a good turn up.

Mutters under breath "where are Ossett Town who can hardly afford to hold their stadium together getting sponsorship to give away rather than attracting it for themselves?" Illustrates how little I know about these things? :rolleyes:

Thanks for the post Mike it would be a pleasure if you could attend, it looks like it could be a great evening.

Re: Giving away the sponsorship, not all football clubs just take, take, take from our community and sponsors we do try to give something back every now and then. It's also a very good commercial strategy by the club because thru the scheme we are able to generate funds, companies can advertise with us for free, and we can further develop our links with Ossett and Wakefield.
