hi

I currently use a Business credit card but feel a debit card is better for my cash flow so i have the following questions.
:?:
Does anyone know of any banks that supply Switch/Maestro cards to limited companies?
And does anyone know why RBS won't supply one to limited comapnies?

All answers will be appreciated.

Does anyone know why limited companies don't have options for debit cards? when there issued with cheque books. It appears to me that banks are only interested in businesses with massive overdrafts and credit facilities, and not interested in comapnies that aim to stay in the black.

I bank with Abbey and you automatically get a Visa debit card linked to your business account, though it's in your personal name. I notice now though that they're issuing Electron cards, so maybe it's changed slightly. Thing is, I prefer to use a credit card - you only have to pay for the goods 30 or so days later!

When Quick Formations banked with Barclays they issued both debit cards and charge cards, and I am involved in another business that banks with LloydsTSB and they also offer debit and charge cards.
Quick Formations now currently banks with Natwest and they do not offer a debit card, which is most annoying.

I don't know what HSBC do but we have a business manager from them on these forums who may be able to help there.

Basically its down to the banks own policy rather than a rule.

I'm with Bank of Scotland and have a Visa with them. It's not strictly a credit card and it's not a debit card. I don't have an option to pay just 5% off the balance and it all gets automatically taken from the account at the end of the month.
