Hi just a quicky I was made redundant in Spetember, fortunate Im now better off so no dramas, but looking back was odd, we were all asked if we would be willing to lose a day, i was office full time staff, been thewre 8 years, to be honest I couldnt afford to lose in effect almost a weeks worth in pay, so anyway, I refused to accept the pay cut, the director then came back 10 mins later and said do u want to change your mind are u certain, I said yes, then 10 mins later, i was escorted off the site, and given my redundancy in full. Just seems odd that redundancy was based on my decision not to take a pay cut, and not my ability to work, whihch i could have done 2 peoples jobs, also staff nearing retirement stays as they didnt want to fork out loads of money, doesnt matter now Im more than happy, just looking back i thought it seemed odd!
