How much money do they make?

Just wondering if anyone can inspire and motivate me and others and keep me happy on this rainy day... i'm looking for examples of online shops and how much net profit you think / know they're bringing in per year.

I've currently got no idea how much money is possible (realistically) to be made online, so any online shop you can think of will do, and how much you think they would be making per year.

I think this could be a really inspirational and motivational thread, so i hope people join in! :)

Some websites make £20 a year, even sites make £0

And others, make silly money. It dosent matter what you sell, its how you sell it, your site, sales technique, prices, etc.

well thats a bit like how long is a piece of string.

so many variables.product,skillset,investment,market.

I do know one site that turns over 50 million a year.

But also know another that struggles to make 5k a year.

lol, no im not stuck on what business to set up and im not sure how this thread would help if i was. I understand that some sites might make bugger all, but i'm more interested in examples of any site (with link?) that make X amount, so we can see what they look like and where they rank etc. Doesnt matter what the industry is... anything at all

To the OP, your question is a bit far fetched, no wonder you're not getting a straight answer. Companies in different industry have different margins, etc. If you know your margins, you know your profit, you just need to get on with it and sell?!?! Can't see how inspirational or motivational this thread could become. Only your own profits will motivate you?!?

I'm definatley not in it for a get rich quick scheme and have owned a website making money advertising for 2 years now and i know its near impossible to get rich without time and hard work.

Because i dont know how much money any e-commerce site brings in, i dont know what could be possible... if i knew what could be possible in terms or net profit then i'd find it really inspirational.

As said though its all like a bit of string.

Some bring £0
Some bring £100-500
Some bring £500-5000
Some bring £5000-25000
some £100,000 - 1 million
some 3 milllion +

Its not an easy thing to work out.. there are so many sites that i imagine make so much different amounts.. even the ones that look the same.
