If you run your own biz, do you keep a database of your customers and actively market to them for repeat business?

I never hassle my clients. They know where I am if they need me ;)

Do they? Actually, keeping regular contacts with your clients is more cost effective and better business than trying to always find new business.
I run a newsletter to my clients. It goes out to about 8,000 of them who have opted in at time of order, and if I have a new service to promote I mention it in the newsletter otherwise its just useful business advice for them every month. At the start of every month after the newsletter goes out a get a small surge of orders, perhaps coincidence or perhaps down to reminding them I'm here :)

Repeat business is key to any business as are the referrals from them, so keep on them as they will always be keen to hear about product updates and offers.
Anyone utilise any form of CRM software out there??

We have our own email newsletter and automatic 'timed' email follow up system :)
