View Full Version : Let Your Customers Do The Talking

I would like to introduce myself as a newbie to the Business Forum at this time.

I hope I can make a lot of new friends and contacts in the Business Forum to both help people and receive help and contacts in return. I’ve got a large business contact base in Reading, Oxfordshire and Slough if anyone is interested.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are looking for contacts in the above areas and I will do my best to help. Although I’m very busy with a new training programme, I would also like to try and help anyone who requires any ideas on marketing, in particular referral marketing.

I’m a consultant and trainer in referral marketing based in the Reading area, details of my latest training courses can be found at www.goldnetmarketing.co.uk This a very temporary site just for this training programme I’ve got a lot to do to it yet (when I get the time).

To try and explain referral marketing to give it justice is a major challenge; but in brief it is a very proactive and systematic process, which encourages maximum response from customers and contacts to talk a great deal more about you, your company and your products and services.

The very basic structure of professional referral marketing is based on 4 main areas i.e. strategic customer care, customer data management, over 105 proactive referral marketing systems and a customer award programme.

It is the very clever ways these 4 concepts are combined that make up the very powerful marketing model that just beats all forms of conventional marketing hands down, because referral marketing always involves third party endorsement, referral or introduction (will explain on future bloggs).

The contacts I’m currently seeking are business training companies in the Berkshire and Oxfordshire area to further expand my training programme. I already have several Universities and colleges interested, but I would like to also expand my commercial options to training companies.

If you know of anyone involved in business training on sales, marketing, customer care, people skills etc., then I would greatly appreciate your help in passing on any potential contacts. Other potential partners could be the larger more enterprising accountancy firms who have an interest in putting on joint venture consultancy seminars and workshops.

Other obvious contacts are delegates for my courses. These can be from any size or type of business, charity or membership organisation. I pay £39 for every successful referral of a paying delegate who joins my programme.

The University of Reading are extremely interested in my version of referral marketing and have asked me to lecture on this subject at their Entrepreneurial Forum at the end of 2005, so I’m hoping this will get some interest from local top companies.

If you also know any charities who wish to greatly increase their fund raising and awareness, then they will especially benefit from referral marketing and I would also like to offer free places on any of my courses for charity representatives, pending spare places available.

I will place the occasional post and blogg on small aspects of referral marketing to give an idea how this very exciting and innovative concept can work for businesses of all types and sizes.

To your future success and may your referrals be many.

Hi Vince,
Thats quite a comprehensive intro ;)

I agree referral marketing is the most powerful marketing tool for any business, and also the most difficult to use effectively. I'm in doubt your expertise here is invaluable. Welcome!

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your kind welcome and comments.

Over the last 15 years, I personally find referral marketing far easier, cheaper and more successful than conventional marketing.

But you are right, alot of UK business people find it differcult to team up with other businesses for a common goal and actually ask for referrals (which they don't have to do with my programme).

Many businesses still need to think a great deal more about their existing customers than thinking they have to keep looking for new business. If they do more of the former, than they will get more of the later, it can be as easy as that, but only after some sort of guidance on referral marketing best practice.

Please contact me again if you wish to exchange ideas.

Best regards,

Vince
