Hi,

After many years of working for others I am now self employed and work as an agent for a couple of companies. I have also been working on developing a new unique website, which is what brought me to this forum.

I am confident it will be a success, but maybe I need a reality check? I am confident that once people try it, it will snow ball, but it's summer so it hasn't started snowing yet? I dont want to give much away as I truly need to find out if it is giving out the right message.

From this site I am hoping to receive honest, constructive feedback, about the concept, how it works and the design. I will gladly review your sites honestly in return.

I just want to know peoples first impressions - it is all free to use at the moment so please feel free to trial it for me and leave a message on there.

Many thanks www.remembermoi.com

Hi LDW,

An intersting concept! - I saw some thing similar when I worked in London, there was a site where you could print of a template, which was business card sized slip of paper - it had the URL etc on - the theory was you gave it to someone you liked on the tube - if they then looked you up on the site, you got together!

Could be really cool, best of luck - and welocme to the forums,

Rob

Welcome LDW

I find it rather a curious concept, and am not sure if it will take off....but hey, what do I know! I certainly hope it does for your sake as you've obviously put a lot of work into it. Good luck! :D

The site looks really nice, hope all goes well for you.

I would be interested in some cross promotion with your site in the future if you are interested, part of our site will be interested in dating and meeting people, although we are not interested in running our own dating section so we are looking to find some innovative ideas we believe people might be interested in and yours definitely seems like one of them. Tell me what you think, or if you have any specific ideas let me know.

Good Luck

HI LDW,
Likewise I find it an interesting concept, one that will either boom or bust to be honest and I hope it booms for you. The success of your site is going to be weather to gain critical mass quickly, so good luck with that promotion getting your name out there as quickly as possible.

Maybe a long shot, but this may be the type of thing programs like LK Today (GMTV) may be interested in a running a few minutes on. Worth a shot, give it a try :)

I truly appreciate you all taking the time to visit my site and offer me your feedback.

I agree that because this is a new concept it could go one or two ways. (Like all new ventures) Fortunately, or unfortunately once I have an idea in my head I have to give it my best and thats why I invested in the set up of the site. I could not have lived with myself had I not given it a go.

Your feedback gives me a great insite into 'first impressions' and it has confirmed what I probably already new. The hard work starts right now!

Watch this space ... I'm getting on the phone NOW to GMTV! :D

Ian,

Thanks for your suggestion. I am very interested. As remembermoi.com is location specific it would work well.

Until there are 10000's more messages on the site, all messages are currently displayed. Once it grows, members will narrow down there search to a certain location. My initial focus will be on people meeting in bars, clubs or similar venues.

Please feel free to PM me or reply to let me know what you suggest.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Liza

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. I like your idea and the website is great.

Maybe you could hook up with some speed dating organisers and have a section with their upcoming events?

I had a quick scan but need a more detailed look when I have time. Sounds interesting at the outset...

Welcome to the forum.

Just wanted to say thank to everyone. I've had a number of great suggestions from this and other forums, with the odd few PM's and some of the changes will be made next Monday. I have timed it and registration will take less than 3 minutes.

The help from these forums has been overwelming :)

Thanks again.

Your attitude is commendable. From my limited experience, such enthusiasm (together with a strong business case, endless patience, and resilience) is the key to success. Go for it!

Hi LDW

This idea looks brilliant and the most appropriate new service for people's lives today.

As more people use the internet on a daily basis, this could be the ideal, place to find more about that person you fancied in the street, but were too shy to approach.

I am fascinated and look forward to seeing how you develop it.

Best of luck!
