Hi, can anyone give me an idea how many sales to expect per 100 visitors a day to a handbag site?.
There was a mention of 5% on another thread which was fashion related.
I have google anylitics but find it hard to follow. How do you track what route around your site someone takes?
Some keywords are on page one and these are bringing in viewers.
The site has been going for about nine months and gets an average 100 visits a day but not sales every day, though they are improving.
Thanks.

You should be at least seeing 1% or i would consider something to be wrong some where, all sites convert differently and you may never see 5% no matter what you do. I would say 1.5% is pretty much average. There are a large number of factors that can effect your conversion rate including, product range, prices, delivery fees, design/layout is quite important. You need to look at where your visitors are coming from and if from search engines, for what keywords, the quality of the traffic is very important.

I see from looking at your site i have to register to order, that can effect your conversion rate a little.
