As a lot of businesses things are slow, but has anyone got any ideas for gaining customers, tried the usual ads etc which were pretty much a waste of time, website has been adjusted thanks to a couple of ideas from forum members.

Dropping leaflets through doors in your local area with special offers.

Always seems to work for us anyway.:D

ptf, how quiet is it for you - how many phone enquiries a day?

Are you linked to any insurer?
Offer cleaning services - but use a third party and get some commission.
We have spent around £1000 in the last 12m in both areas.
Target pet owners particularly.
Can you do anything with the old carpet - recycle it in some way?

Hardly any phnoe calls a week at the moment but with very low overheads and good profit margins its ticking along. I have tried leaflets and had no response, and cant get in with insurance companies as most are linked to independent inspections who I am in the process of applying as a member, but the rest tend to use national companies.
