I attended the Enterprise show in York this past weekend and would like to recommend them to a lot of the people on here who are always asking what business to try, how to do marketing, how to do start up etc.
Personally I am not expecting my business to grow without a lot of hard work from me, I am not expecting it to be handed to me on a plate either. I visit quite a few forums where people seem to be asking for someone else to do the hard work for them and thought I would let people know about this.
I have now booked onto several FREE workshops via Business Link over the next three months which will cover creating my Business Plan, Accounts and Book-Keeping, Taxation and VAT and Marketing for your new business to name but a few.
These resources are out there and are free. I do know they will take time to chat with you and help you come up with business ideas if you dont have one yet, and will work with you to help your business grow.
I found the Enterprise show on Saturday really helpful, especially the seminar about marketing on a shoestring which was done by our local Chartered Institute of Marketing contact.
