About a month or so ago I got a call from Touch Local letting me know they were changing how the listings on the site were displayed.
Currently, the paid-for listings are displayed above the basic ones, and our two businesses are the first two of the basic listings (there's only one paid-for in our category)
But the redesign would mean only the first five paid for listings from each category would be on the first page. So did I want to upgrade my free listings (for only £300 I think it was) so that I would be one of the five on the front page? I turned this down.
Now, surprisingly, a month or so later the display is still the same, we're still the first two businesses in the basic listings. So perhaps Touch Local couldn't get anyone else to pay I guess.
