Should I outsource my order fulfilment and carriage?
There are many views on out-sourcing and I thought it may be useful to highlight a few mis-conceptions and advantages
Common mis-conceptions include:-
· Its not available for new start e-commerce companies
· Its only available for people who have masses of orders
· There are huge costs in getting it up and running
· The technology is expensive to set up
· You are tied into long term contracts
· Fulfilment companies don’t care about your business, your orders or your clients
· You are detached from your stock and are kept in the dark
The advantages include:-
· A service partner that gives you more freedom to focus on your core activity i.e. purchasing, selling & marketing of your products as if that is not enough of a challenge in itself?
· Spend less time in a queue waiting to speak to "an unhelpful carrier” who really is not that interested in you or why your customers parcel has not been delivered – we manage the delivery and returns process for you!
· Leverage better carriage rates by using our buying power and technology.
· Grow your business without restrictions and have very low start up or fixed costs.
