Is there a customer services body in Ireland? You know, standards and the like (not corpses)

Yes, there is an organisation called the Consumers' Association of Ireland which I think is a voluntary group but is long established. I can't post links, but google Consumers' Association of Ireland and you'll find it.

The National Consumer Agency is the official goverment agency one, again you'll have to google it.
