Hello all, I am new to this site and just thought I would say hello. I own www.motheruk.com and make bespoke t-shirts for pregnancy. I have been reading through the forums and have had some of my questions answered already, which is great! What do you think of my website and product by the way? There are some changes due up in the next couple of weeks, but any constructive feedback would be more than welcome.
Thanks

Hi

I have come across your site before. I think it looks great.

How long has the business been going? Are you busy at the moment?

I will be absolutely honest; as usual :)

I like the design, and I am hard to please so have two gold stars 8)

I personally wouldn't pay £35 quid for a t-shirt. But really I have no concept of how difficult it is to get a t-shirt that fits over a baby bump :)

I think there should a be a link on each product that takes you to a full size picture of the image that will be on the T-shirt as the small pictures aren't clear enough for me.

Get the web designer to sort you some decent meta tags.

Also the more bit where you get people to fill in a form so you can send them more information, just put that information on the site. That's the point of having a website, to save you the bother of having to answer peoples questions and send them off packs :) People are lazy online, if the info isn't there in front of them they tend to move on.

Hope that helps :)

Welcome to the forum. Interesting site, great idea.

Please consider a visit to my wife's site, LAM Design - couture clothing and tailoring (http://www.lamdesign.co.uk) and add a mutual link as I think this will be of interest to some of her customers.

Hi,

Cool website. I think you should have pics of real pregnant women on there modelling your products. It would make it a lot more personal.

Hi CaroCaro - your site would have been soooo useful a year or so when my wife was expecting - but I'm sure it won't be the last opportunity to visit!!

The idea is great, I wish you great success - if I can help at all please shout,

Best regards
Rob

Hi CaroCaro

Good idea for a business and I think I'm sure it could do very well online.

Get the web designer to sort you some decent meta tags.

Although in general, meta tags are not as important these days, the title (blue bar at the top) should be descriptive. Should it say 'designed', rather than 'deigned'? The web designer seems to have repeated the description in your keywords tag, which should also be corrected.

Maybe you could form a partnership with Romperstomper, who is a member of this forum. He or she offers t-shirts for babies and I'm sure there is some cross marketing potential there.

Hope these points are of help.

Good luck!

Hi Carocaro,

A belated welcome :)

You've got a nice looking site but I would like to see more depth to the product descriptions and did I miss the online order form - is there one?

also as a side note: years ago I saw a pregnant woman wearing a large baggy t-shirt with 'under construction' written across it - it looked great and stuck in my memory at least till now!

I like the site, good look and feel.

Let me know as and when you implement an online shopping facility (e.g. Worldpay transactions) as you will probably want to beef up your terms and conditions to deal with the online sales.
