Hi

I am a director of a company in Germany that is owed money by an English company. I have phoned and written to the company about the outstanding debt and they said that they cannot afford to pay me and are not trading anymore. However the Director/Owner of the company is still trading however, now under a different business name out of the same address.
Any suggestions as to have I can proceed with this.

Regards

Hi Danny

I am assuming that the first company was a limited company which has gone in to liquidation or receivership. If that is so, and the Liquidator or Receiver will have sold the assets to a new company (even if it is run by the same person) and your only action is to apply to the Liquidator or Receiver for reconpence. If this is the case I may be able to help you find out who this is. It is probable the there won't be any money left once the preferential creditors have been paid out. Hope this helps.
