SECC Business event the biggest flop of the year?

I just attended the Scottish Business exhibition in Glasgow that was sponsored by the Business Gateway. When the company promoting approached me I was told it would be the business event of the year.

The sad reality was a turn out that was so small I would doubt that they will get a 3rd of the attendees they has planned for and hence very glad that we do not take stands at this event. The stand layout was less than inspiring and the people on the stands looked bored to death.

Has anyone else been tempted to take a stand this year where the actual number of visitors would have meant it would have been a huge flop?

I attended this event today, and i was also extremely disappointed. I attended the new start scotland event in March and it was highly turn out around 7500. I spoke with someone on a stand today who said that only about 500 people attended.

I think that the new start scotland event would actually be the best event to have a stall at. I am considering this for March.
