paternity leave

can anyone please advise me
instead of statutory paternity leave can an employee select to take paid
holiday ie that would be the higher of the two benefits
or do we have to pay both?

They are separate benefits as far as I am aware one is holiday entitlement the other is paternity leave..as obvious as that sounds!

I don't think you can merge the two together under holiday..then you may have unfulfilled paternity leave entitlement that have not been taken on top of the extra holidays!
