Hi all. I've been working by myself for a few years and didn't even think about looking for a forum that combines people together like this.

How silly do I feel???????

Anyway, I've found you all now, and hopefully will learn how to move my business forward.

I am an independent distributor for Mona Vie who are just about to launch in the UK.

Your thoughts on how to recruit are more than welcome as this is where I don't have any expertise whatsoever.

My site is www.ukmonavie.com

Your comments are gratefully received.

Sorry moderators if I've put more in this section than I should.

Welcome along, your product looks interesting - and healthy too!

If you have any specific questions or queries this is the place to ask - there are lots of useful brains to pick here.

Cheers and good luck

Hi ukmonavie,
Welcome to the forum, and dont worry this section is all about introducing yourself and what you do :)

I hope you benefit from being a member here and look forward to seeing you around :)

Welcome!

A couple of hints for improving your site, get rid of the plash page, it looks untidy and it reduces the chance of your site being ranked well.

Re-write the text on your site, it isn't clear what you are doing, I think you want to get people to sell the product for you but the site didn't specifically say that. To be honest it looks very much like that text is a standard blurb given out to all agents by the main suppliers :)

Thanks for the pointers. I appreciate them greatly. The entry page is there just as a doorway to the main company site, and yes it is a standard site that all distributors get. I'm not interested really in getting high placing on the search engines as, without a large input of cash, I won't get a high ranking anyway.

The page is there just so I can monitor the marketing I do myself with purchased leads and PPC.

Ultimately the site can only be there to persuade people to buy from you and all I am saying it did the opposite for me simply because

a: the text didn't give me enough information
b: the text was just a standard marketing spiel, which gives the impression that the site owner didn't make much of an effort

this is just my opinion, I am not saying it for any other reason than to be helpful; I hope it comes across like that rather than me just being picky, feel free to ignore me :D

I apprieciate you opinion. After all how can I make things better without people's opinion.

Yes it is helpful, and please let me have as much info as you want to share.

I would like to have my own site, but I have tried to design one and, well, I'm no web designer and I don't have the funds at the moment to have one designed for me.

If I took text from www.monavie.com and incorporate it into my site, do you think that would have a bigger impact?

You opinion agian please, if you have the time.

Thanks

Ian
