Hello, can anyone recommend somewhere to meet a business colleague in Central London for a couple of hours, other than the usual Starbucks option? :)

Here's hoping

Thanks

The Cafe at The Photographers Gallery (http://www.photonet.org.uk/index.php?pid=187) virtually always has room, coffee and food OK and not tooo extortionate, just off Oxford Street, hidden gem.

As the banks are nationalised now, bit like community sports centres, might I suggest anywhere in the square mile :)

Convent Garden is a good meeting spot, Kings Road, or next to the Thames, then you can pretend to be a spook :)

Any of the large hotels always have tables out of the way with coffee and snaks always available

This looks a winner - anywhere that serves Builders' Tea, Jasmine Loose Leaf Tea AND Soya Milk has got to be worth a visit, meeting or no meeting! Thanks for all the tips, much appreciated

You have to be a Tate member to use the member's room (cafe) - which in fact is a good investment (£70/year) if you have regular one-to-one meetings in London. You can only bring one guest on your card though.

NFT foyer is a popular one too.

We always meet in the Kingsway Hall Hotel (Holborn) if you want somewhere nice and relaxing.....
