Hello all, we are currently using evivo to manage our online bookins. We have a link from our website to them and they take a huge 6% cut of all sales.
Is there any cheaper alternative booking system? All we want is to put a few rooms available on dates and have the payments processed efficiently.
Thanks

Most hotels do online booking themselves, and don't charge for it. You can pay by CC. You however have to find the hotel itself first. If you Google say 'Hotels in .........' it takes a couple of minutes.

I tend to use www.laterooms.com (http://www.laterooms.com). No idea of their fees though.

Bookingbutler.co.uk worked great for my mum. cheap and easy to understand. Saved her loads of time and trouble! Was easy for myself to put into mums website so her custommers could book online as well. :D

There are loads of good room availability and booking scripts available. I have implimented a couple in the past for past customers. When you say 6% is that just for processing the payment, or is it for finding clients as well?
You are obviously aware that you will have to pay a % to your card processor anyhow, even if you run the process in house?

Here is a proper link to the Booking butler site. It wont take any % of income, only at the most £9.99 a month.

matsgeorg, do you have a link to your mums ? didnt see a demo on the website.

I think there is a system which is called galileo, not quite sure you have to be trained to use it and it has axcess to most hotels directly so you can see if there are rooms avaible and better room rates

sure here's the link. It's in swedish but press the english flag and it's translated. The link for booking is in the upper left corner. http://www.boihjo.se/
I checked up about the different ways custommers can pay. In the swedish version. www.boxningsdax.se (same thing, different language) that I used for mum it's fixed it that custommers can pay you through payson (something like a swedish version of paypal) I'm not sure what they do with the english version tho. Try out the free trial and send them an email if you wonder about anything. They are quite custommer friendly.

thanks, looks really good.
was it hard to integrate with the website you had?
most of them ive seen done fit the website exactly but yours seems to fit the layout and design nicely so the customer doesnt know.

Yeah Booking Butler allows you to partly design the look of their system so it wont stand out. They provide you with a simple code snippet that you add in where you want it on your website. That's all. ;) All other settings you can do through your account.
