Hi All.
I have recently been fortunate enough to get a few clients on board and have plenty to get on with, but as always I look to the future for more clients. I don't however have the know-how to get new clients apart from good old fashion getting out and about and word of mouth.
What other methods can I put to the test, a method that works but needs time is not a problem.
Anyone that can help would be a star!
Cheers

Have you considered Cost Per Acquisition sales with a marketing company? For example a marketing/sales company provides leads on an ongoing basis and you pay them a % when you close the sale or on a per lead basis? A number of companies find this a good ongoing way to get new business.
Drop me a PM if you want me to point you in the right direction.

I have such a burning business idea on this, and no bloody time to implement it --- aaaargh!! (Better than lots of time and no idea I guess, but frustrating all the same).
Adam, you could try contacting Business Link in your / and neighbouring areas. They work with a lot of start-up businesses and you could offer a special "promotion" to work with new companies to get a site designed and up and running, as well as any other literature requirements.
Otherwise - long winded but it does work - check, check, check business forums. There are many of them around. Watch out for opportunities - there are always a lot of people looking to set up a website, and your own site will often turn them off or on. In your case, it would definitely be "on", it 's a good showpiece (it just needs you to build a portfolio of other sites you've worked on).

You could set up ur business on E-Bay to attract potential clients. Also could keep an eye on the newspaper.
