I received an email today concerning this conference, which is, apparently a 'must attend' for those wishing to supply the government.

What really annoys me, is that, yet again, we are expected to pay (£120) to be given advice and access to selling to our own government and be paid by our own, tax supplied, money.

They have a list of 10 reasons why you should attend, the first being - 'Your opportunity to hear what the Government is doing to help SMEs'. So I now have to pay for this?

Am I the only person who thinks this is still a rediculous stance (i.e. charging us to be able to access tender info) and then charging us (OK, it is a third party organiser) to get advice on how to take advantage of tese opportunities?

A classic example of promoting and promising one thing (greater involvement by SME's in third sector supply) and 'taxing' you for the pleasure!

None of this money goes to the Government, it goes to the conference organiser (the third party). Although one could argue that the Government should set up these conferences without charge.
