Investni online conference

Did anyone get to go to this - I registered as soon as I got the email only to see it was already full up. I'm a bit annoyed as I had asked investni's e guy to ensure I was on the list when i visited him.....anyway did anyone else get to go and was it worth it - or just a nice lunch?

I attended the conference (lunch was one of the highlights). There were 5 speakers. The first one represented BlendTec, and talked about their "will it blend" viral marketing campaign. This was very interesting and something we may investigate. A $50 marketing budget brought 700% increase in sales in 2 years!!!!

The SEO speaker was very informative with practical ideas on how to improve your website.

The 3rd speaker from TradeDoubler was woeful. Tried to sell his service rather than advise. And it was a poor sale at that!

ION Marketing's Niall McKewon was also very good.

You should of turned up Bill because there was spaces left, even though it was pretty packed.

thanks for this - I was considering just turning up but got this really cheeky email from the organisers to say that unless you have a space you should absolutely not show your face....I'll now chase the handouts from the very inefficient organisers.

I would second everything that Colm has said. Very worthwhile day, except for the TradeDoubler session before lunch.

I am looking out for the promised publication of all the presentations - they said that these would be available so we would not have to take copious notes. You could jump on that bandwagon when it comes into town.

Mind you, I think it is one of those "you had to be there" moments - a Powerpoint/pdf can hardly give justice to some of the presentations.
