CLIC Sargent and Minuteman Press Bristol announce recycling initiative

2 March 2009
For immediate release

Minuteman Press Bristol has teamed up with children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent to give the charity’s used paper a new lease of life.

One-sided scrap paper will be recycled into pads of varying sizes that can be reused by the charity’s staff. The initiative believed to be the first of its kind has been made possible by Minuteman Press Bristol providing its resources free of charge.

Paper is delivered to Minuteman’s Bedminster print centre, branded, padded, shaped and subsequently collected by passing CLIC Sargent vehicles to ensure that no additional journeys are made.

“It’s wonderful when two organisations can work together to deliver beneficial results. It makes the hard work worthwhile!” commented Peter Wise, Minuteman Press Director.

“When CLIC Sargent’s Recycling Coordinator, Mark Good, first approached Minuteman Press Bristol with the concept, we simply loved it. As a Director of the Forest of Avon I was the perfect audience and was delighted to be in the fortunate position of owning production resources that could turn a great idea into a reality” added Peter.

“At CLIC Sargent we are always looking for new and innovative ways to recycle and reuse materials whether it’s mobile telephones, MP3 players or scrap paper!” says Mark Good, CLIC Sargent’s Recycling Coordinator. “Today another ten families will hear that their child has cancer, but right now we can only help two out of three. We need support from organisations like Minuteman Press Bristol so we can be there for each and every one. On behalf of everyone at CLIC Sargent I would like to thank Minuteman Press Bristol for their continued support and am looking forward to taking delivery of our first batch of pads.”

Minuteman Press offer a comprehensive consultancy, design and print service for the business, public and private sectors. Products include letterheads, brochures, business cards, forms, books, websites, banners, invitations and more.
