I am trying to prepare my company so that it can be voluntarily dissolved and I believe that all company assets need to be disposed of otherwise they will become the property of the state.

Do these assets (mainly computer equipment) need to be revalued prior to disposal or can I just sell them (give them away)? Are there any tax laws that I need to consider when doing this? Any other tips on this process would be helpful as I am completely green in this matter.

Regards
Peter

Your assets need to be disposed of under the WEEE directive. This means sending them to a registered recycler for recycling. They will arrange a computer disposal for you at xero or minimal cost.
