Hi everyone, I am looking to produce a set of my own online training videos, does anyone know any good software i could use to help make and edit online video.
Also can i use a normal web cam for recording or would i need to purchase a proper digital camcorder?
Any help would be great.

Nero (the full package with vision express) is very easy to use and the output quality is high. Working with video takes a little geting used to. Its not just the editing, its getting the original footage resampled to look good online that takes most understanding.
It's entirely possible to create more complex text effects and so on in flash and edit the finished animation into the final film.
There is plenty of extremely expensive and powerful software out there but to get started (and produce some very good results) Nero Complete and Adobe flash are low cost and will allow you to learn what you need to do to get the results you want. Then if you start knocking out 5 videos a day you will know what features you will want in more powerful software down the road.
The bulk of SME promo video online is probably edited in Nero, as is most of the more imaginitve stuff on youtube. Not least becasue Nero has always been easy to crack and get for free...
Download a free trial and have a play - odds are that you will be watching your first edit within 20 mins. And a decent one within a couple of days ;)

If you are looking for a hosting site and a professional looking, unbranded video player then do drop us a line cybertraders. We enable businesses to add video to their site quickly and easily from just $10 a month
