Hi everyone I joined today.

I have two sites running at the moment and Im hoping to pick up some useful tips.

My new site is http://www.strictlyadmin.co.uk and is homebased secretarial work and this is really the one that I have joined here for. I will be looking for useful tips and help on how to promote this as well as how to make it a success.

My other site has been running for a year now and is http://www.mumszone.co.uk. This is a parenting site and non-profit however its been great to watch it grow and you never know maybe in a couple of years it might be worth something!

Look forward to getting to know you all and to picking up some handy tips.

Toni :D

Hello Toni,

Welcome to the forum. I actually found your MumsZone site the other day and bookmarked, as I was interested in a reciprocal link.

You should find lots of helpful advice and people on this forum, so hope to see you around.

Kate.

Hi Toni,

Welcome to the forums, I think VA services are a wonderful thing, much needed by us sometimes. Will keep you in mind.

Good luck, and I hope you gain many contacts here.

Regards…
Shelley.

Toni,

To make up for the lack of attention we gave you, I spent a few minutes editing the text on your home page. In general, I have the following comments (which are meant to be constructive :)):

- Too many words are bold. Use bold to draw attention to your main point only.

- The order of the bullets is rather random, and there are too many of them.

- The paragraph contains several grammatical errors. Given the service you are providing, you need to correct these.

Here's my suggestion...

*******************

- Are you a small business without a regular staff?
- Do you need inexpensive administrative help?
- Do you have too much work for your employees to handle?
- Do you need help outside of regular work hours?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you need a virtual assistant - and Strictly Admin can help. Based in the UK, we provide cost-effective typing and word processing services to individuals and to small businesses. Why pay for office staff and space when you don’t have to?

*******************

If I had more time, I would go into more depth. For example, you need to point out what makes you different from your competition - rapid turn-around? working odd hours? telephone access? "Based in the UK" may be too general. I think the point you are really making is that you can support businesses located anywhere in the country that have Internet access.

I hope these comments help.

Hello again Toni

I meant to mention before that I also have a VA business, but have put it on the back burner in order to work on Bitsnstuff. I found that registering my business with different VA organisations really helped to get the name out and get client enquiries. This is a good one:-

http://www.allianceofukvirtualassistants.org.uk/

They also have a chat room which is very useful for VA/business service support type questions and also to offload work if you get snowed under.

Hope that helps.

Kate.
